When C&D first started dating, they were working in the same pub. At the end of their evening shift, they would walk along Aberdeen Beach in the dark, exploring the lamplit streets of Footdee (Fittie). One of their most memorable dates was watching a lunar eclipse.
So, when we started talking about their couple's photo session, the clear winner was a beachfront walk on the night of the full moon (specifically, the Snow Moon - and, goodness, it was COLD!).
The clouds didn't get the message, mind you...

...but we didn't let that stop us.
Our mission, that night, was very specifically to get a bit silly. We were going for some multiple exposure giddiness with my flash; we were going for blurry shots with the available lamp light; and I even whacked a kaleidoscope filter onto my lens to make some swirly psychedelia.
We didn't just get A BIT silly; we got A LOT silly.
The photo sessions where my sides ache from laughing so hard are always my favourites, and this was definitely one of THOSE.
(We whisper-sniggered in the residential areas, although it was only 7pm)
But it was also beautiful.
These two have been together for years and they're still howling with laughter and twirling each other under streetlights. And it shows.
All through these photos, their love shows.

If you would like a very silly photo shoot (or a very romantic photo shoot; or a very relaxed photo shoot; or, really, any kind of couple/engagement session which isn't deathly serious and rigidly posed), you can read more about my style and my pricing here, or just skip straight to sending me a message.
