Hi! I'm Sarah and I'm a super-lovely Aberdeen wedding photographer (if I do say so myself) - scroll down for more of Hannah and Diane's winter wedding, or click through to check out my pricing.
This was Diane and Hannah's second wedding. I know. Listen. They got married for the first time in Wales but, as not all of their Scottish loved ones were able to travel down to celebrate with them, a few days later they got married AGAIN in Aberdeen. And it was beautiful.
I arrived at the Marcliffe at Pitfodels in the morning, officially to take prep photos. What Hannah didn't know was that her best friend would be turning up to surprise her! As a professional musician, he also played the piano for the guests before the ceremony.
The brides got ready together, which gave us the chance to do couple portraits before the ceremony. Between you and me, we needed to take a hairdryer to Diane's dress after crossing the wet grass, but all the best weddings have stories like that!
Oh my goodness, they're gorgeous!
Diane and Hannah were piped into the ceremony by CS Piper Hire.

Their celebrant was Lynda from Ellay's Angel who guided the brides through their vows, a ribbon handfasting involving family members, and a quaich ceremony (you know it's love when your whisky-hating wife agrees to drink from a quaich for you!). There were also readings from their loved ones.
After the ceremony, there was CONFETTI (hooray!!!!! So few venues allow confetti, it's always extra exciting!). The confetti was from Flutter Darlings.
And then we moved into the drinks reception and cake cutting.
Group shots were done in the courtyard at the Marcliffe, becoming increasingly giggly as we worked our way through them!
And, as the sun set, I left them to enjoy the rest of their day.
Congratulations again, Diane and Hannah, and thank you for having me along to celebrate your (second!) wedding with you. What a beautiful day, so full of love, personal moments and all the best kinds of hilarity!
Diane and Hannah left me this gorgeous review:
"We had a small ceremony and afternoon tea in Aberdeen for our wedding, and Sarah was just the most perfect addition to our day! She got the balance perfectly between being present and blending in to the background. She was unobtrusive but still managed to get fabulous shots of all our important moments.
Sarah went above and beyond for us, and truly did everything she could to deliver a top-notch service. The photographs are beautiful and were all edited and returned to us so quickly, we were quite shocked as we expected the wait to be longer!
I can’t recommend her enough and I know that whatever celebration you’re planning, she’s the perfect fit. Sarah is patient, kind, thoughtful, imaginative and does her work with a nice touch of humour too. Book her - you won’t regret it!"
