Jess and Colin had a twilight winter wedding in Aberdeen's Winter Gardens.
They planned their whole short notice wedding in under six weeks (and Jess's dress arrived at the very last minute!), but everything came together beautifully.
Their reception, officiated by a registrar, included a traditional Scottish handfasting and readings by their family members.
The couple had written their own vows, which perfectly mirrored each other's, and which made their guests both laugh and get teary eyed as they listened.
The wedding was followed by group photos in the ceremony space, and then we snuck off for couple shots in various spots throughout the gardens.
The sun was setting fast, so we were taking the last photos at dusk and I love the cool, blue tones of these pictures. I'm always aiming to show exactly how your day looked, at that time, in that place.
After Duthie Park, we moved on to the lovely Newmachar Hotel for dinner and cake. The speeches were hilarious but touching - there was SO MUCH LAUGHTER at this wedding - and the families surprised Jess and Colin with a traditional quaich for their toast.
Congratulations again, Colin and Jess. May you always find this much joy (and hilarity) together.
