Photos and Fun for Slightly Feral Families

Does your family have too much energy for static shots?
Reckon your kid is too shy to smile? Or perhaps you think that YOU are?
Then my Aberdeen family photo shoots are for you.
Largely child-led (even when the kids are legal adults), a session with me involves running free, playing games and great big showers of love.
I encourage you to embrace the chaos. I believe trees are for climbing, waves are for jumping and children are for twirling (and parents are for dancing with, too).
Focus on being silly and joyful and smitten with each other, safe in the knowledge that I am there, camera in hand, ready to capture every bit of fun.

I accept a very limited number of family photo sessions per year
The majority of my family sessions are held on Sundays and school days (perfect for those of you with really little kids). Additional dates may be available by (childcare!) arrangement.

That's great, but what does a photo shoot cost?

For sessions booked more than one calendar month in advance, this is broken into a 25% deposit to secure your date with the remainder payable nearer the time.

FAQs About Family Photo Sessions
I'm Worried My Children Won't Listen to Instructions
I promise you: they don't need to.
Almost all parents tell me they're worried their child(ren) will either be very shy or run absolutely wild and, honestly, neither of these things is a problem. I start most photo sessions by playing and chatting and giving everyone time to get used to me and to my camera, and it's only when the kids are at ease that I start taking lots of pictures.
Because my sessions are child-led and all about your genuine personalities, a shy child snuggling into a parent's shoulder or a wild child splashing in the sea can only be a good thing!
A lot of the people I work with are ASN, and there is space on your questionnaire for you to tell me about anything which it would be helpful for me to avoid or include.

How Many Pictures Will We Receive?
For an hour session, an absolute minimum of thirty (but I've never delivered so few). The more you play, the more pictures will come out of it.
Will You Do Group Shots/Pose Us for Our Pictures?
I will make sure I get some photos of you all together. These are usually big group hugs, sometimes family games, and sometimes you having a quiet moment, resting on a bench together. Depending on your particular family, there may also be smaller groups and individuals - I work with the people in front of me and how they interact.
My main guidance is: the more you naturally interact with each other, the better. But, particularly near the start when people are still feeling camera shy, I will give you as many prompts as you need to put you all at ease and get relaxed and happy images.

Of course! Your family is your family! Whoever is important is included.
The standard price is for up to six people, but you can add on as many as you like for an additional £30 per head (babies under one go free).
