You're getting married!
And you Need an Awesome wedding photographeR
(hi! hello! THat's me!)
Oh, hey! You're here! And you're planning a wedding (gulp)!
You've found the one person who makes you feel the most yourself, and you're about to spend a day celebrating everything you love about them (and everything they love about you).
These are memories you want to keep.
You want wedding photos full of your own personalities. You want real moments snapped as they happen. You want a photographer who will document the details, celebrate the smiles and embrace your whole day in a colourful, creative and gently unobtrusive way.
HELLO, nice to meet you!
Hi! I'm Sarah, and I'm an Aberdeen wedding photographer - and, yes, I travel all across Scotland for love.

Midweek weddings
Alternative weddings
And, it should go without saying, but I'm going to shout it LOUD just in case: LGBTQIA+ weddings
I'm based in Aberdeen, but cover most Scottish towns and cities.

My Approach to Wedding Photography
However you plan to shape your day, let's celebrate everything which makes the two of you YOU.
You've (probably!) spent a lot of time thinking about which traditions to treasure, which to let go, and what you could bring to your day to make it uniquely yours - I'm there to document it all. My colours are true to life, my enthusiasm is abundant, and I'm the queen of candid shots so you can expect a gallery full of natural smiles, head-thrown-back laughter and spontaneous hugs.
From the intimate exchange of vows at a teeny, tiny Aberdeen City wedding ceremony to the vibrant personality of a great big Scottish shindig, jumping dance floors to quiet moments, I gently, joyfully, unobtrusively take the pictures which will keep your memories clear and safe, long after you've kicked off your wedding shoes and kissed your new spouse good night.
Review text reads: Thank you ever so much for our photographs of our Wedding day. They are perfect in each and every way we could have imagined.
Would You Like to See A Full Wedding Day?
Review of Aberdeen w: Sarah did the photographs of our wedding day and we are really happy with everything - from enquiry response to the photographs we have received. We are living in a different country and had a lovely, relaxed video call with Sarah who put us at ease immediately. She was very knowledgeable and kind. Our families have mentioned what a lovely presence she was on the day and we have so many lovely, natural photos to look back on. If you're looking for relaxed/storytelling photos then Sarah is who you're looking for

So, How Does This Work?
As simply as possible! Here are the steps to booking your short coverage wedding photography with me:
Graphic reading: 1. Chat
1. We Chat
You're considering spending a lot of your special day with me - let's have a Zoom and check that you like me! Zooms are a great chance for me to answer any questions that you may have and for you to tell me more about your plans. If you're not Zoom people, emails and WhatsApps work, too!
Graphic reading: 2. Book
2. You Book
After our chat, I'll send you a quote, a contract and a short booking in form. Weddings booked more than six weeks in advance are secured with a 25% deposit (with the remainder due one month before the wedding); weddings booked at short notice are secured upon full payment.
Graphic reading: 3. Then...
and then...
At an absolute minimum, I will contact you two months before the wedding to confirm all of the final details, including any group shots you need and/or special requests you have for the day. However, I LOVE to hear about your plans and peek at your Pinterest boards (and I am ALWAYS here to answer questions) so please do message me in the meantime.

Aberdeen wedding photographer review: We can't thank you enough for the photos! They are gorgeous! Obsessed with them! You've captured so many special happy moments throughout the day. We absolutely love every single one! All our family and friends have been singing your praise and all agree the photos are stunning. Im so glad we worked with you for our wedding! You were so relaxed and matched the exact vibe we wanted for the day and the photos reflect that. You're such a lovely person and it was a joy to have you with us. You snapped all day and we have such gorgeous memories to print and keep forever! We never felt pressured and you kept everything so relaxed. Thank you so much for everything!
that all sounds good, but what does it cost?
My full day and half day packages are valid for towns and cities within mainland Scotland (for further flung weddings, travel charges apply).
All of my wedding packages are fully customisable, but the most common options are:
Graphic reading: Full Day
Up to ten hours of wedding photography:
£1700
Enough for all the main moments of a (fairly!) standard Scottish wedding, ten hours will generally take you through from prep until the first (second, third...) dance. For late night dancefloor action or to document the quiet early morning moments, additional hours can be added on.
Graphic reading: Half Day
Up to five hours of wedding photography:
£1100
What can you do in five hours? Get married! Half day packages usually cover ceremony, couple shots and speeches, but we can work together to build a timeline which includes the moments which matter most to you.
Graphic reading: Short and Sweet
Up to two hours of wedding photography in Aberdeen, Dundee or Aberdeenshire towns: £450
For midweek micro-weddings within Aberdeen City, I also offer ceremony-only pricing.
Graphic reading: Going Extra
You might like to add:
Extra hours: £250 per hour
A second photographer: £300 (up to 5 hours); £500 (more than 5 hours)
A pre-wedding photo session: £200
Don't Make Us Think!
Graphic reading: We Want It ALL
If you've answered quite enough questions about your wedding, thank you very much, this package makes it easy. No calculating hours, no weighing up the options, just:
ONE price: £3000
TWO photographers: Second photographer included.
The WHOLE day: Earliest start 10am; latest finish midnight.
Aberdeen wedding photography, taken second shooting for Tower Photography: A woman in green dress and man in kilt ceilidh dance in a pink-lit ballroom; she is barefoot and holding a glass of red wine in one hand.
Aberdeen Wedding Photography at Duthie Park Winter Gardens: A beautiful bride in white with tartan shawl wrapped around her closes her eyes as her groom in kilt with plaited hair style hugs her from behind and kisses her cheek.
Do You Need a second photographer?
Do you need a second photographer? They're an optional extra, but, if your photos are important to you, it can be a great investment. Second photographers allow me to focus on you and your I Do Crew, safe in the knowledge that somebody else is dotting around your guests, getting all those gorgeous candids. The more guests you have, the more important a second photographer will be.
If you're getting ready for the wedding at different locations and would like prep photos of both of you, a second photographer is essential.
All of the second photographers I work with are wedding professionals who take on these jobs between their own bookings (and I do the same for them - in fact, the pink-tinted ceilidh dancing just above this was taken whilst seconding for Tower Photography) - this means that you are getting a whole load of additional high quality photos of your day for a fraction of the cost of booking us separately.
Do You Need a pre-wedding photo session?
Pre-wedding photo sessions - also known as engagement shoots - are a specially priced couple's photo session of up to one hour in length, giving you the chance to meet me and to get used to being in front of the camera.
For couples who feel uncomfortable being photographed, I know they sound like some form of torture, but they're invaluable for putting you at ease before the big day - and I promise that everybody is surprised by how much fun they have!
Pre-wedding shoots also give you some lovely photos of the two of you to pop in with your invitations.
But, mostly, it's just really, really lovely to spend a bit of time hanging out together and chatting about your wedding plans so, by the time I turn up to photograph your celebration, we already feel like old friends.
Pre-wedding sessions take place on school days and Sundays within Aberdeen.
Let's See Some Pre-Wedding Photo Shoots:
I will never pressure you to book anything you don't need, but if you're undecided about extra hours, second photographers and/or pre-wedding sessions, I'm here to talk it all through with you.

Wedding Photography FAQs
can we have multiple locations?
Yes, you can. Prep, ceremony, reception - these may all be in different places. If you would like to sneak away somewhere special for couple photos, we can do that, too.
I very consciously don't run a car, but I will either travel between venues with you or your guests or I'll hop in a taxi. We can talk about this as part of your planning process.
How Will We Receive Our Photos?
Your photos will be delivered digitally via a secure online gallery which you are welcome to share with your loved ones. Your gallery is live for one year, giving you ample time to download all of your images. Professional quality printing is available via this gallery, however this is optional, and you may print your downloaded images elsewhere, if you prefer.
When Do We Pay You?
For weddings booked more than six weeks in advance, you pay a 25% deposit to secure your date and the remaining balance one month before the wedding. For weddings booked with under six weeks' notice, the full payment is required upfront.
Are there any hidden costs?
Nope, it's all right here on the screen.
Are you inclusive?
I'm certainly trying my best to be! I'm right here scribbling in Sharpie over the top of all this bi-erasure I receive, so I'm HERE for LGBTQIA+ couples. I'm also here to support and celebrate with neurospicy folk, disabled people and anyone from marginalised groups. If you don't yet see yourselves represented on my website, please know that it's not because I don't want you there - it's simply that, either, I haven't had the opportunity to take those photos, or the couples I have worked with have chosen to keep their pictures private. Everyone is celebrated here.
