At their Aberdeen pre-wedding photo shoot, a white man with long curly brown hair, a beard and black-rimmed glasses, gazes at a white woman with scarlet hair and a denim jacket. They are both smiling. Red camellia flowers fill on side of the screen and complement the woman's hair.
When C&D told me they would like a floral theme for their Aberdeen pre-wedding photo session ("engagement photo shoot"), I knew exactly where to take them.
Right in the heart of Old Aberdeen, there's a secret garden full of magic.
Even in March, we had blossom and blooms. There were ducks nesting by the pond (see if you can spot them!) and a chiffchaff singing in the trees.
Their pre-wedding session was the perfect chance to get to know each other a bit better - it's always nice for me to put faces to names, and can be reassuring for couples to know exactly who's going to be tagging along with them on their wedding day!
Chatting about wedding day plans also gets everyone even more excited.
Taken at an Aberdeen engagement photo shoot, two sets of feet in black trainers point at each other amidst fallen white rhododendron petals. One set of legs is in blue jeans, the other in a floral red dress.
You would never know, when you look at pre-wedding photos, that every single couple I photograph tells me they're awkward in front of the camera!
By the end of half an hour, everybody has relaxed and feels much more confident about being photographed at their wedding.
