Aimee and Brais - my goodness, aren't they gorgeous?
Aimee and Brais were having a larger wedding in Spain, where Brais's family live, and a small ceremony in Aberdeen for those loved ones who weren't able to travel.
Initially, they weren't going to have a photographer for Marischal College but, with only two weeks' notice, they realised that good photos were important to them and dropped me a line.
After the Spanish wedding, Aimee messaged me to say how glad they were to have the family portraits from Aberdeen as torrential rain meant their group shots in Spain hadn't gone to plan.
It often surprises people how many of my weddings are small ceremonies booked with short notice.
When couples are planning a micro-wedding, it's not unusual for them to think that this ceremony isn't big enough or significant enough to need a photographer... until the very last minute!
Even Tiny Weddings Deserve Good Photos
I've said it before and I'll say it again, but even the tiniest wedding is a part of your love story and deserves to be celebrated.
You don't need all the bells and whistles, if they're not for you; you can treat yourself to a pizza delivery instead of doing the big meal out; you can shape your wedding whatever way you want to. But get pictures. Even if you hate having your photo taken. Even if you don't plan to print them. Even if you're not sure you can even bring yourself to look at them (you WILL want to look at the photos of your spouse).
Because, ten years from now, you're going to want to look back at your wedding day.
And you're going to realise you looked lovely.
One and Two Hour Wedding Photography Packages in Aberdeen
Wedding photography is an investment, but there are options to make it more affordable.
My packages start at just one hour for a Monday-Thursday city centre booking - this is plenty of time for your ceremony, group formals and couple portraits, and, in a room at stunning as the Marischal College Grant Room, short doesn't have to mean boring; you can go short and sweet and still get gorgeous photos like Aimee and Brais's.
Weekend wedding packages start at two hours with half day and full day options available.
