A&M got married at Logie Country House on the perfect autumn day with sunlight streaming through the golden leaves and crisp bright stars in the evening skies. Their wedding was absolutely beautiful with Bluey Lego buttonholes, an enthusiastic ceilidh and a speech by M's ten year old child (I cried. And then I cried again while I edited the photos).
A&M opted to keep their wedding photos private, but - WAIT! - because, while I may not be able to show you the couple or the kids or the kilts, I can show you the Highland Cows.
Heilan Coos at Your Wedding? Yes, Please!
There are three Highland Cows at Logie Country House (all girls because, yes, girls get to have horns, too, when it comes to Highland Cows) and they know that they belong in the spotlight.
I honestly didn't know that cows could bound until I saw them all leaping across the field towards my camera.
Now take a moment to imagine a newlywed couple - perhaps you and your partner - standing by this fence, ruffling the fur of a Highland Cow, while I take your picture. What more could you want from your wedding day? Seriously? It's the most DELIGHTFUL moment, and I would love some more Logie Country House weddings in my calendar, just so I can keep going back and cooing over them (no pun intended).
But it's not just the cows: Logie Country House itself is beautiful.
BEAUTIFUL.
How many photogenic windows can you squeeze in one building, I hear you ask? Well, let me show you.
Honestly, I had no idea I had photographed so many windows until I came to write this. But LOOK at them all. That's a lot of shiny glass:
Your Privacy Matters To Me
Anyway, this whole post is a bit tongue in cheek. I do want to show you how pretty this venue is and I do want to show you the Highland Cows and I do want to prove to you that I take great photos so you go ahead and book me as your Scottish wedding photographer, but it's also making an important point:
A&M wanted to keep their photos and I will always, always respect that.
Even when I'm desperate for something to share because all but three couples in an entire calendar year opted to keep their pictures private (woe is me), I will still respect that.
GDPR and Your Wedding
Frankly, this shouldn't be something I need to say. The law is very clear that you own the right to your likeness - your wedding photographer and your other suppliers need to ask for your permission before they can share recognisable photos or videos of you or your guests online.
But it doesn't always go like that.
So I'm stating it here, loud and clear: I will always permission before sharing recognisable photos or videos from the weddings I work at - and I will not argue if you say no.
Fortunately for me, GDPR Doesn't Cover Highland Cows
